Will drinking one glass of red wine a night decrease my chances of getting pregnant?

My hubby and I have decided to start trying to conceive, and I was wondering if one glass of wine a night would decrease my fertility? Of course after I find out I’m Pg I’ll quit all together. I have already given up alot of things like processed dairy and meats, as well as caffeine. But I’m not sure if wine is something I need to quit as well when trying. Remember it’s only one glass.
Thanks so much for your input.

no it wont, but you should go ahead and stop drinking in case you do conceive…

Nope, I drank every single day for a week and I got pregnant. It was the week of my Wedding :)

You’re fine. Besides, I think that’s how many babies were conceived ;)

No it wont stop any fertility for you. When you are pregnant you can have one glass of wine they say either once a day or once a week. I’m pretty sure it was once a day. If you do conceive just ask your doctor about the once a week or once a day. Or you can go to pregnancyfordummies.com

No it won’t do you any harm at all. Nor will it affect the foetus as long as it’s only one a night. A friend of mine lost hers having had a big session at a party, and having no idea she was pregnant, so it’s worth not going beyond the one glass.

You may find, if you do conceive, that you suddenly go off it anyway. I used to drink like a fish and was trying to conceive when I suddenly went off the idea – found out two weeks later we were finally lucky! My mum and sister both found wine suddenly tasted revolting, which also helps! I totally went off tea, which I used to love a cup of, and didn’t drink any for the first 12 weeks – only now can I have a mug without going “bleurgh!” :-)

Best of luck with it! It took us ages but we got there in the end :-)
