I need party favor gift ideas for a surprise 60th b-day party. My idea was to buy cases of the 375ML bottle of?

spumanti and order stemless wine glass that are engraved saying happy birthday with balloons. the glasses are expensive though and for 4 cases of wine is only 131.00. Red wines take longer to open up or “breathe” than white or blush varieties. This can mean hours in a traditional decanter for maximum drinkability. The darker the wine, the longer it may need to air. You can save yourself some valuable time by using a wine aerator to tame the tannins that can pucker your cheeks and make a wonderful wine taste awful when it’s first out of the bottle.

What are Tannins?

Tannins are organic compounds that are found naturally in grape seeds, skins and stems. They add part of the complex flavor of wine, often causing a tart or puckering sensation on the tongue at the back of the mouth. Wine makers use specific extraction processes to control the amount of tannins present in each specific variety of wine.

Tannin is controlled by the amount of time the juice is in contact with skins, seeds and stems, and is responsible for the sediment sometimes found in heavier bottles of red. The time ageing in the barrel also contributes to the distribution of tannins, as the oak itself contributes to the overall tannin level.

Tannins are essential to wine’s ageing process ‘the anti-oxidant properties allow wines to develop complexity and character while maintaining their integrity and drinkability.

The puckery sensation sometimes accompanied by a bitter aftertaste is described as “tannic”. The astringent, bitter sensation can be unpleasant to new wine drinkers. Recent efforts to control “hard” tannins while allowing “soft” tannins to remain has revolutionized the California wine industry, by allowing younger vintages to achieve a complexity that wasn’t before possible.

If you like to enjoy your full-bodied red wine by the glass, without decanting an entire bottle, you may benefit from a versatile aerator.Many can change settings from bottle to glass, and aerates in seconds. One particular model is notable as it makes it’s aerators from several jewel-tones polycarbonate plastics, as opposed to the higher-priced glass aerators which are known to chip and crack.

If you are concerned about tannin sediment or under-aerating your wine, you may wish to examine the color through the bottle. need party favor gift ideas for a surprise 60th b-day party. My idea was to buy cases of the 375ML bottle of?

Need advise with a drunk and disorderly charge in the U.K?

Ok this is a biggy but will try my best to explain

I was collected by 999 for my own safety after being stranded in a rural location at midnight by a moron I went to visit it Wales, The newtown police were great let me stay in the custody wating lounge all night even offered take me to McDonalds(true) Ileft at 8.00am wandering around newtown for hours waiting for the train (which didnt arrive until 15.01 in the end.
In the meantime I rang the moron who agreed to drop my beloningings off at the train station when he did I gave him hug and wished him not thinking anything of it.
I bought a bottle of red wine and sat on the platform waiting for my train to arrive while drinking my second glass i was approached by a sargent who doesnt cover the area, but lives in the same village as the moron and is infact a friend of his! He questions me for 20 mins asking if i m going to harass the moron (he obviously told a load of crap about me) Anyway nothing more was said he leaves and i board the train, been awake for 33 hours now in the same clothes well and truely knackered. Get on the train and must have fallen straight to sleep next thing i know at 15.31 two paramedics on the train bending me over and im being sick. I’m on anti depressants and didnt take my medication that day, next thing i know i’m being dragged down the flight of high stairs at the train station by about 8 coppers i did not resist arrest I before they handcuffed me i asked them why they are arresting me they claimed i became abusive! I replied to who they didnt tell me! Thrown in the back of a van, then cell photos of injuries to prove. Now im 36 years old no previous history, they didnt allow me a phone call they called my parents who i dont even live with ffs!! who drove 40 miles to come and get me 5.5hours later. They took my wine which showed 2 small glasses miissing and offered me a caution which i refused went to court 4 weeks later to dispute, and the police had only submitted a small statment so they ajourned for another 6 weeks the CJS have wrote to my solicters asking if i would now be willing to accept a caution which will therefore not only look like im a admitting guilt but will give me a criminal record. Does anyone have a clue what the chances are of winning this case is?? surely bringing your sarge mate along would be seen as a abuse of power
